Fundraisers

Fundraising is a vital importance to the Bassett High School Band.  All of the funds necessary to run a band program the size of the Bassett High School Band comes from band member fees, generous donations, and fundraisers.  These member fees, donations, and fundraisers pay for items such as competition entry fees, travel, food, lodging, buses, copyright permission to play music, clinician pay, uniforms, props and so much more.   All of these types of expenses are incurred by the band boosters as part of the band program. The Bassett Band Booster’s budget supports the entire Bassett High School Band program – including the Concert and Symphonic bands, Jazz band, Winter Indoor Percussion, Color Guard,(JV and Varsity) and of course two Marching Bands (Pride and Band of Distinction).

Several types of fundraising opportunities are available and though all fundraisers are voluntary, we encourage participation and support.  We are thankful for our volunteers because without them our fundraisers would not be successful.  If you would like to volunteer, please contact our Fundraising Team, Christina Moore and Susie Cannady.  You can email them at fundraising1@bassettband.org or fundraising2@bassettband.org.

June 3rd @ 9AM –  We have been contacted by Tackfully Team Riding Academy to paint their fence around the riding area as a fundraiser.  Each student will need a 4 inch paint brush and OLD CLOTHES for the day.  Lunch will be provided by Tackfully Teamed.  We will meet at the farm and begin at 9:00 a.m.  If you need a ride, we will have parents available that morning at BHS at 8:30 a.m.  All students are needed to make this a fun day as well as making our job quicker.  The address for Tackfully Teamed is: 7975 Henry Rd, Henry, VA 24102.  Just look for the BIG Black Fence!

To help ensure the safety and security of our students, Henry County Public School District requires that all volunteers undergo comprehensive background screenings.  Click on the link for more information.
