The Bassett High School Band program has a long history of quality musical ensembles.  Through such ensembles as the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Winter Guard, and Indoor Percussion, the program has a proud heritage of success.  The band programs consistently earn superior ratings at the Virginia District Concert and Marching Assessment as well as other festivals.  In 2012, the Symphonic Band proudly represented District VI at The Homestead as a part of the Virginia Music Educators Association State Convention.
